In the Peak District in the UK, there is a series of famous dams that each have two large towers towards either end. The dam at the Howden reservoir allows water to flow over it and into the reservoir below. This water passes between the two towers (visible in some of my previous pictures).

Here I have closed in, from the side, onto this raging torrent as it sweeps down past the dam tower. It almost looks like a major flood passing through a market town…sort of…
